Click to view: Clyde the rocking horse

I made this rocking horse for my grandkids and called him "Clyde" I used plans from the web and it required a lot of sanding. I would advise anyone who builds one to have a good way to vacuum up all the dust. The kids love him.

I had some exotic wood left and glued the pieces together. I was wondering how this wood would look as butterflys.

The yellow one is Yellow Osage and about 3" long. The others are scraps of everything. All will make nice Frig magnets.

I did some research on the web and made this firetruck. It has a working ladder, hose, doors, tires and steering wheel. Buttons, knobs, lights, using Oak, Walnut, Cherry, Padouk, Maple, etc. I built it for my grandson Tayler to play with. I made it strong and he is very careful when he plays with it. He still loves and plays with his firetruck.

The bikes were fun, I made the big wheel, but purchased the rest.

I bought a precision miter and had to try it out. I made the stars using compound angles. I covered them with material with the stars and colors.
